About Alpha Beta Gamma

Alpha Beta Gamma® is an International Business Honor Society established in 1970 to encourage, recognize and reward academic excellence among business & business-related honor students from accredited junior, community and technical colleges. Since its founding, over 65,500 students, many of whom live and work in southern California, have been inducted into the Society. Alpha Beta Gamma is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS).

Delta Phi Chapter at The Art Institute of California-Orange County was chartered by the National organization in December 2009. Charter Members were inducted in March 2010. The Chapter provides numerous leadership and networking opportunities for members through service on the Executive Board, and participation in Chapter events forums, and functions.

Located in the heart of Orange County's South Coast Metro region, The Art Institute is ideally situated in close proximity to Orange County's thriving business community, cultural attractions, shopping, entertainment and its famous beaches. The school is one of The Art Institutes (www.artinstitutes.edu), a system of over 40 education institutions located throughout North America, providing a source of design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts business professionals.

How To Join

Students eligible for membership will be notified by mail during the Summer and Winter quarters. Please be sure that the Registrar’s Office has your current address. New members are inducted in March and September only.


Membership Requirements

The Art Institute of California - Orange County Alpha Beta Gamma, Delta Phi Chapter membership requirements:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Completion of 30 AI units or more in a Degree program
  • Lifetime membership fee of $75
  • Membership application submitted by deadline
